GLY Empowerment is a nonprofit foundation based in Nigeria dedicated to empowering the next generation of young women through wellness education, mentorship, STEM exploration, and life skills.
Every Girl Deserves to Know Her Power
In communities across Nigeria, thousands of girls grow up without access to the mentorship, health education, or safe spaces they need to discover who they truly are and what they are capable of becoming.
They do not know what is happening to their bodies during puberty. They have no one to talk to about boundaries. They have never been told that STEM belongs to them too. They are brilliant, resilient, and ready, they simply need someone to show up for them.
That is why GLY Empowerment exists.
We show up in person in Nigeria and online to give girls the knowledge, the community, and the confidence they deserve.

Body Health, Boundaries, STEM, and Life and Leadership Skills.
Body & Health Literacy:
We give girls the health education their schools and families often cannot. From understanding puberty to menstrual health, hygiene, and knowing what is normal in their bodies every girl leaves our programs informed, confident, and without shame.
Boundaries & Personal Safety:
We teach girls to recognize their own limits, understand what respectful relationships look and feel like, and build the courage to speak up for themselves in any situation.
STEM Exploration:
Through hands-on activities and workshops, we introduce girls to science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, showing them that these fields belong to them just as much as anyone else.
Life Skills & Leadership:
Through group activities, guided discussions, and teamwork challenges, girls develop communication, problem solving, and confidence skills that prepare them for school, relationships, and life.
A Message From Our Founder
My name is Roseline Adesanya. I am a registered nurse, a healthcare executive leader, and a Nigerian-American woman who has never forgotten where I came from.
I started GLY Empowerment because I believe that a girl who knows her worth will change everything around her – her family, her community, her nation.
I have seen what happens when girls and women are given the tools to understand themselves, protect themselves, and believe in themselves. They do not just succeed. They transform.
Every workshop we host, every conversation we have about periods, puberty, boundaries, every moment a girl realizes that STEM is for her too, is all personal to me. Because somewhere in Nigeria right now, there is a girl who is exactly who I was – full of potential, just waiting for someone to show her what is possible.
